CertaPro Painters Opens First-ever “Paint-only” Design Center in Indianapolis

North America’s Largest Painting Company Celebrates its Grand Opening

(INDIANAPOLIS) — Have you ever bought a can of paint, laid down your drop cloth and attempted to paint your living room only to have the color on the wall be completely different than what you thought?

CertaPro Painters is taking the guesswork out of interior painting with the opening of the nation’s first “paint-only” design center. Matt Rolfsen will operate the design center located in Indianapolis at 5151 N. Shadeland Ave. Rolfsen is hosting a Grand Opening celebration that will take place today.

The center is now officially open to the public to come and see different room setups displayed with a variety of color schemes and designs. By the end of 2008, visitors to the design center will be able to bring photos of their home to virtually make over and display on a 50-inch flat-screen television. The center also features a warehouse training center containing a mock house, allowing visitors to see for themselves how CertaPro employees measure quality and undergo training. No actual sales go on at the design center, it is just a place for those looking to revamp their color schemes at home or in the office and to try before they buy — all at no cost!

“This design center is superior to home improvement television shows because it gives people an opportunity to view the latest trends and color possibilities in person,” says Rolfsen, local CertaPro owner. “It also provides a very relaxed experience with a lounge filled with plush leather chairs, a playroom for children, a fireplace and a Starbucks machine.” The building that houses the new design center used to be a restaurant run by the Jenn family of Jenn-Air appliances in the late 1970s. At 16,000 square feet, it took over two years to fully develop, but the results are well worth the wait.
